Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sahaayikaa platform, including our mobile application and website. By accessing or using Sahaayikaa, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Platform Intermediary Role

Sahaayikaa is a technology platform that connects individual customers ("Customers") with independent professional service providers ("Providers").

Important Disclosure: Sahaayikaa does NOT provide the actual services and is NOT an employer of the Providers. We act solely as an intermediary marketplace. The contract for service delivery is exclusively between the Customer and the Provider. Sahaayikaa is not responsible for the performance, quality, or conduct of any User.

2. Eligibility and Registration

  • Age: You must be at least 18 years of age to use the Platform.
  • Accuracy: You provide accurate and truthful information during registration.
  • Verification: Providers must undergo identity and background verification. Sahaayikaa reserves the right to suspend accounts that fail verification or provide fraudulent documents.

3. User Conduct

By using the Platform, you agree NOT to:

  • Violate any local, state, or national laws of India.
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other Users.
  • Bypass the Platform's payment system to avoid fees (Disintermediation). Any attempt to book services outside the app after connecting through Sahaayikaa will result in immediate account termination.
  • Provide false, misleading, or deceptive information.

4. Payments & Financial Terms

4.1 Payment Processing

Payments are processed through authorized third-party gateways (Razorpay and Cashfree). By making a payment, you agree to their respective terms and conditions.

4.2 Service Fees

  • Platform Fee: Sahaayikaa charges a technology maintenance fee of 1.7% of the total booking value from the Provider.
  • Convenience Fee: Customers may be charged a flat convenience fee as displayed at the time of checkout.

4.3 Settlements

Earnings for Providers (after deductions) are settled into their verified bank accounts typically within 2-3 business days after the successful completion of a service and payment.

5. Cancellation and Refund Policy

5.1 Customer Cancellations

  • Cancellations made more than 12 hours before the scheduled time are generally free.
  • Late cancellations (within 12 hours) may incur a cancellation fee to compensate the Provider for their travel or reserved time.

5.2 Provider Cancellations

Providers who frequently cancel confirmed bookings may face reduced visibility or permanent suspension from the platform to maintain marketplace quality.

5.3 Refunds

Refunds are issued only in the event of a "No-Show" by the Provider or a proven failure to deliver the service as described. Refund requests must be raised within 24 hours of the service window. Approved refunds are credited back to the original payment source within 5-7 business days.

6. Account Lifecycle

6.1 Deactivation

You may deactivate your account at any time to temporarily pause your availability.

6.2 Deletion & The 14-Day Rule

If you choose to delete your account, it will be immediately hidden and locked. A 14-day inactivity grace period applies. If you do not log in within 14 days, your account and all associated personal data (not required for legal/financial logging) will be permanently purged.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAHAAYIKAA SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR PERSONAL INJURY ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY THIRD-PARTY PROVIDERS.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Sahaayikaa harmless from any claims, losses, or expenses (including legal fees) arising from your use of the platform or your violation of these Terms.

9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [Insert City/State Name], India.

10. Modifications

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
