These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the Sahaayikaa platform, including our website and web application. By accessing or using Sahaayikaa, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. The Platform's Role and Scope

Sahaayikaa is a safe, anonymous peer support platform designed for women to share emotional struggles, keep journals, and communicate with an AI companion.

Crucial Disclaimer: Sahaayikaa is NOT a medical or clinical therapy service. We do not employ licensed therapists, psychologists, or psychiatrists, and our platform is not a substitute for professional mental health care.

2. Anonymous Account Integrity

• Anonymity: We encourage complete anonymity. You should choose a pseudonym and avoid sharing any personally identifiable information (PII) in public posts, comments, or your profile.
• Self-Asserted Gender: To protect the integrity of this dedicated safe space, you assert that you identify as a woman. Your account information is confidential.
• No Personal Disclosures: Sharing phone numbers, home addresses, social media links, or email addresses in public feeds or comments is strictly prohibited.

3. Moderation and Community Conduct

To preserve emotional safety, we enforce a zero-tolerance policy. You agree NOT to post or transmit:

• Harassment, bullying, misogynistic behavior, victim-blaming, or hate speech.
• Aggressive debates, political arguments, or invalidation of other members' stories.
• Promotional content, spam, or solicitations of any kind.
• Malicious attempts to deanonymize, track, or locate other members.

All public submissions are scanned by the OpenAI Moderation API. Content flagged as toxic or violating our guidelines will be automatically hidden and queued for moderator action.

4. Empathetic AI Companion Disclaimer

Sahaayikaa provides a 24/7 AI-driven companion tool designed to provide general comforting validation and coping exercises.

• No Medical Advice: Conversations with the AI companion do not constitute medical, psychological, or psychiatric consultation.
• Limitation of AI: The AI may occasionally produce inaccurate response content. Use your discretion, and do not rely on it for critical decisions.

5. Crisis Detection and Emergency Policy

Sahaayikaa is not equipped to handle active clinical emergencies or self-harm crises.

• Crisis Override: If our AI or moderation systems detect language indicating immediate risk of self-harm or violence, we will display real-world crisis helpline directories.
• User Action: If you are in immediate danger, you agree to contact local emergency services or professional national distress hotlines.

6. Account Lifecycle and Deletion

When you request account deletion, our team will process it within 2-3 business days.

Once processed, your account, along with all associated credentials, journals, sentiment history, and contributions, will be permanently and irreversibly purged from our active databases. This action is irreversible.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SAHAAYIKAA AND ITS DEVELOPERS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE PLATFORM, PEER SUPPORT FEED, OR AI DIALOGUES.

8. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time to reflect platform evolution and new safety measures. Continued use of Sahaayikaa after updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
